At OCCM, our mission is to engage the minds, muscles, and imaginations of children and the grown-ups that care about them. With hands-on, interactive exhibits designed for children ages birth - 18, OCCM focuses on learning through play, with emphasis on early childhood education and school-readiness.

These pop-up events are a fantastic opportunity for families to experience the excitement and joy that our future museum will offer. All are welcome to attend, so gather your curious minds and join us for a day of play, learning, and laughter.

Zoom Make-Your-Own Pizza Party
Several families joined us for a Zoom Make-Your-Own Pizza party. The kids all rolled out the dough, slathered on the sauce, and sprinkled on the cheese along with their favorite toppings, and popped them into the oven. While their creations cooked, we played several games of Bingo for prizes! Included in the pizza box were chef hats, customized place mats, stickers, mustaches, and gummy pizzas for dessert! So much fun and great way to stay connected when we weren't able to be together.
Outdoor School Pictures
A fantastic vintage school desk was the theme of this free Back-To-School photo shoot offered to residents
Halloween Candy Hunt
Personalized pumpkin buckets were given to each participant, which included, one laminated Halloween Candy Hunt list, a dry erase marker, a big bag filled with lots of candy, toys, activities, stickers, playdoh - lots of fun and thought went into these!
Paint-A-Pumpkin Activity Kit
This paint-your own pumpkin kit was stuffed full of fun Hallween themed activities. They included a coloring page, pumpkin stickers, a color-your-own paddle ball game, pumpking punching balloon, pumpking whoopee cushion, a fall sand art activity, and a mini pumpkin and paint.
Create-Your-Own Monster Kit
In this super cute Halloween monster themed kit was 2 full page monsters ready for decorating and hanging in a window for neighbors to enjoy. The kit also included a playdoh monster activity, monster stickers, a color-your-own monster mask, an activity booklet, a few monster jokes, and monster fur (aka cotton candy).
Pet Costume Contest
Our Pet Costume Contest showcased beloved neighborhood pets all dressed up and ready to Trick-Or-Treat! Each participant received a treat, and the winner was awarded a grand prize.
Turkey In Disguise
Tom the Turkey needed help coming up with a disguise to avoid being eaten on Thanksgiving Day. The Disguised Turkeys were displayed in windows around the neighborhood for residents to enjoy.
Turkey Trot 5K
Our first annual Turkey Trot 5K lead the community on two scenic laps through the neighborhood and picturesque Greenbelt.
Holiday Train Light Tour
Our Community was invited to join us on a trackless train tour down a highly decorated block in our neighborhood. Neighbors waved to riders as they passed by, and Santa surprised kids in front of the famous "Small World" house. Everyone was given hot chocolate and a goodie bag filled with train themed items.
Zoom With Santa
2020 may have tried, but they couldn't take Santa away from us!! Families joined Santa for a private Zoom meeting and pictures. Questionnaires were sent out ahead of time so that Santa would know all of the details. The look on these kids' faces was priceless!!!! Invitations, a letter to Santa template, and a Holiday Lights Scavenger Hunt were sent to families ahead of time.
Elf Kit
Thirty days of activities (plus a few extra super easy ones!!) were included in this kit to help your family's Elf come to life each night full of wonder, mischief, and good, clean, fun.
Holiday Lights Car Parade
Our first annual Holiday Lights Car Parade was a TREMENDOUS SUCCESS!!! We are so thankful for all of the 350+ homes in Green Valley that decorated this holiday season! And a HUGE thank you to the 70+ cars full of families that showed up to tour the neighborhood Holiday Lights with us! Thank you to DJ John Borack for live-streaming festive music on a real radio station to keep us all in the spirit! And to Confetti Cakes & Sweets for making dozens and dozens of cake pops to hand out! Thank you Krystin and Meghann for always being so supportive and lending a helping hand! Thank you Elvis Holeman for being Santa, hooking up the DJ lights and radio, coordinating the parade route, and for coming up with this wonderful idea!!
Noon Year's Eve Party in the Park
A great time was had by all during our Noon Year's Eve Party in the Park featuring DJ John Borack, Three Food Trucks, Free Bingo Games, A custom ball drop scavenger hunt with prizes, and a fantastic 2021 photo op! We were super duper impressed with everyone's dedication to social distancing and donning masks!! The love and respect for our neighbors and community was shining through everyone! Can't wait for next year!
Zoom Bingo
Zoom BINGO!!
So much fun was had during this virtual session of BINGO! Over 30 neighbors and friends participated in 10 Bingo games - all with prizes that included amazon gift cards, legos, starbucks and baskin-robbins gift cards, and more! Lots of laughter and jokes, a dance party, and smiling for the camera! Can't wait until next time!! Thank you to everyone that participated, adn congrats to all of the winners!
Valentine's Day Card Exchange
Twenty local kids made or wrote Valentine's for a fun exchange on the holiday!! Lots of thought, care, and love went into each card and gift, and I know that each kid loved them!
Easter Bunny Pictures
Thank you to photographer Jeffrey Johns for this incredible opportunity for our community! The cutest setup and bunny helped families capture this moment forever. Thanks again Jeffrey!
Easter Play Day

Mother's Day Gift Drop-Off
We love celebrating our community members, and this Mother's Day was no exception! Over 250 women received the cutest potted succulent that you have ever seen, a Starbuck's gift card, and a note from Elvis and I. Happy Mother's Day to all who have ever shown a Mother's Love!
Tie-Dye Towels in the Park
Such a fun craft project just in time for summer! Several families joined us as we personalized organic cotton towels with names and spray tie-dye. It was a beautiful day to be outside, the craft was so much fun, and the results were amazing!!
Father's Day Gift Drop-Off
Thank you to everyone that signed up their favorite guys to be celebrated this Father's Day! We were able to drop off over 100 fund gifts to our community members! We love our neighbors and hope you all had a wonderful day!
Celebrating the Class of 2021
This year we were able to celebrate Class of 2021 graduates from all different grades and schools! Each graduate received a custom engraved wood ornament, kids meal, activity card, and custom gift tag. Thank you for celebrating with us!

Holiday Light Car Parade

Elf Kit
We bought the Elf Kit and we are enjoying it very much. Only one concern I have is that my kids probably wonder why he is more fun this year than last year. Really hope you will be selling the kit every year! It was so worth every penny, I personally think it could have been more with all the supplies and mostly creativity! Thank you very much for making this year's Christmas so much more fun!

I purchased the Elf Kit and when I opened it up and saw all the cute daily ideas, I immediately reached out to Kaysie for more and they had sold out. This kit made it soooooo easy and convenient for me. The kit was well organized and had super cute, creative ideas. I am hoping this kit will be available next year because I will definitely buy it ASAP.
This Elf Kit has made my kids' Christmas magical and with so little effort from me thanks to the kit. I hope you do one every year.
