Wow! I'm actually kinda shocked that I'm sitting here writing an actual, real-life blog post.
When Jersey was born, I dreamed of doing something like this. Just to keep a record of our lives for my child to look back at. But I found myself so overwhelmed with not only the technology of it, but the commitment. The pressure to write something fun and interesting. Engaging and "pretty." I'm too honest to show our lives as anything but reality, and who wants to see more of that?!?!?
Yet, here I am. And this time I find my mind swirling with years of stories that you would not believe, funny quirks, favorite memories, recipes, and recommendations. A fuller life, for sure.
So I suppose I should tell you a bit about myself. My name is Kaysie Holeman. I was born and raised in North Orange County, with my parents and two siblings. I have always been an outdoor girl - softball, motorcycles, camping, volleyball, beach, lake, swimming, skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, hiking, and more. My senior year of high school, I received a full-ride athletic scholarship to college to play softball in Hawaii. In college I earned a BSN of Nursing and LOVED working as a nurse!
I want to shout from the rooftops how much I love my family and husband. My community, and the friendships that I have been lucky enough to make as an adult. My honest amazement, complete admiration, and constant struggle with being a stay-at-home-parent and homeschool-er. My next-dreams, along with the progress only made possible by Elvis. Trying to raise strong, smart, independent women. Leading by example in all aspects. The importance of self care, entrepreneurship, education, philanthropy, community, and honesty. So many things going on. But I know that I am not alone!!
